Every year during Advent, Altötting’s Kapellplatz transforms into a Christmas village, and the Altötting Christmas Market opens its doors. Culinary delights and artisanal items await visitors to the Altötting Christmas Market. The small, rustic huts invite you in to enjoy a mug of mulled wine comfortably and in the warm.
The supporting programme for Advent in Altötting is comprised of lots of top-class concerts which get the visitors in the mood for the most wonderful time of the year with reflective Christmas music.
Advent in Altötting is also characterized by the many nativity scenes that are on display in the pilgrimage city. As a very special highlight, visitors to Altötting during Advent can visit the large nativity scene exhibition of the Krippenfreunde Altötting e. V.
